Horsey

When my son was 3 years old, his favorite game to play was horsey. He’d hop on pop and we’d circle the house while he’d say, “giddy up, horsey.” I still have the scars on my knees to prove it. This picture was taken near Disney World 10/1/1993. Left to right – my nephew Ben, my nephew Ken, and my son John. Not pictured – my sister and brother laughing their heads off.

Horsey

Giddy up, Horsey
Giddy up, go
Riding with a ti yi yippie yi oh
Giddy up, horsey
Giddy up, go
‘Round and ‘round ‘til the cows come home

Saturday morning at the crack of dawn
My cowboy hat and boots are on
Breakfast eaten, good and gone
Here we go again

I climb up on my trusty stead
And tumble like a tumblin’ tumbleweed
Dad’s got rug burns on his knees
But here we go again

We start in the living room and then
Off to the kitchen, around the bend
Back to my bedroom, through the den
Again and again
