MLK Day

January is one of my favorite months to sing with the kids at school. Monday, January 17 (tomorrow), is Martin Luther King Day and we’ve already been learning about songs having to do with Dr. King and the civil rights movement in America 60 years ago. “Sing About Martin,” “We Shall Overcome,” and “If I Had a Hammer,” to name a few. It’s a good time for singing in the classrooms.
