Coloring Book

This is something I’ve wanted to do for a long time. And now the time has come. I am making my coloring book for the song “Words To Live By” available to everyone at any time, all the time. Click here to download the pdf file.

Coloring Book

A few years back, Ms. Sally Baker of the Sutterville Preschool gave me the great idea to do a picture book for the song “Words To Live By” from my 1st CD, titled “Mister Cooper.” She suggested that I make it a flip-book with a spiral binding so she could turn the pages as I sang the song. I then had the thought that if I made it into a coloring book, every kid could have their own copy and color it however they wanted…

Cool.

I started making telephone calls to Sacramento City College to find some help with the illustrations. Luckily, I reached Don Button, who is a graphic design professor at the school. He knew exactly what I was looking for and recommended that I contact Thanh Nguyen, one of his students. Am I glad he did! She did a fantastic job in bringing the lyrics of the song to life, page after page. Thank you again, Thanh, for your imagination and artistry.

I’ve printed thousands of coloring books over the years and now it’s your turn. The pages are in order. The 2nd page goes on back of the 1st page, and so on. Print out and staple as many as you’d like. Have a coloring book party. Take them to school and show them to the teacher. Use every crayon in the box. It’s all up to you. Just be sure to have fun. And remember to sing along…
