Now hear this! The Colonial Heights Library Sing-Along Club will begin again on Thursday, July 7, starting at 10:00 am. When we last left off, music time had been suspended due to renovations taking place to the community room at the library. All construction has now been completed and so it’s time to sing. YAY! Please note the time change. Music sessions will begin at 10:00 am with the side door opening at 9:45 am (ish). Everything else will be the same. I am very excited and pleased to be back. I hope all of you reading this will be able to make it. Pass the word. It’s going to be fun.

There is a new person in charge of money management. Her name is Melissa Shelley (her son’s name is Abner) and she can be reached at All donations to keep the music going at the library will be handled by Melissa. I can’t thank her enough for taking over this important task. One last shout out goes to Heather Downey for doing such a great job before the break. Please contact Melissa with any questions you might have, especially if you don’t know what I’m talking about here. I hope the music continues for many months to come. At this date, the Sing-Along Club will meet every Thursday through September 15. Thank you for your continued support and generosity.

I appreciate everyone hanging in there with all the delays. It took a lot longer than expected. But all of that is now in the past. Let’s pick up where we left off and join together in song, friendship, and community. I’ll see you on Thursday. Oh yeah…
