Recording Continues

Here’s a picture of Scott McChane’s studio, where I am recording the new CD. This is where the magic continues to happen. Much has taken place since the last time I wrote about it on the website. And there’s still so much more to do before it’s done. The finished CD is going to have a total of, at least, 18 songs. And since over half of them mention birds, are about birds, or have the name of a bird in the title, the CD will be called “Mister Cooper Is For The Birds.” Or the “Bird” CD for short. So far, we have recorded guitars, a banjo, mandolins, Richie’s Steinway piano, an accordion, a string bass, a tuba, and one voice (mine). More vocals (harmonies and kids) come next and then whatever percussion instruments are lying around for us to bang on. At that point, Scott and I will go through each song and make sure it’s the best it can be. And I haven’t even mentioned the CD cover and all the artwork. I’m even thinking about including a video of one of the songs (if I can find someone with know-how who can help me – hint, hint). There are so many steps to take to complete a final CD that everyone will (hopefully) enjoy. And when will it be ready to go, you may ask? Umm…
