June is here and some big events are coming up that you won’t want to miss. You can always look at the “Live Performances” link at the top of the page for all upcoming shows, but here is the short list of good things happening this month.

The Belle Cooledge Library has been nice enough to invite me to play some songs at their 14th annual Ice Cream Social to kick off the summer reading program. Be there on Friday, June 8, and I’ll be there from 6:30 – 7:00 pm. Parking is always an issue but I hope to see you then. Ummm, ice cream…

The Fair Oaks Library music time goes weekly starting June 22. We’ll be meeting on Tuesday, June 12, as usual, and then switch to Fridays the week after that. It’s going to be a great summer of music at Fair Oaks. And be sure to come up afterward to get your hand stamped with the official Mister Cooper hand stamp (pictured).

And I am always thrilled to announce another performance at the Curtis ParkMusic in the Park” concert series being held again this year. It’s always my favorite gig of the summer and I’ll be doing another one in August. The date is Sunday, June 24, and the music starts at 6:00 pm. Bring a blanket, some lawn chairs, and relax in one of Sacramento’s most beautiful parks.

There’s also another reason why this month of June will be a special one for me. My son John will be graduating from UC Santa Barbara on Father’s Day. I am so proud of my boy and what he has accomplished so far in his life. I started singing with kids when he entered Kindergarten in 1995. So, it’s all his fault.

School will soon be out for the summer. But the music continues at a library or concert near you. Circle your calendar and be sure to come out and say hello. Thank you for your continued support of my music. I’ll see you soon…

  1. Congratulations to John…..If its his fault, we should all be thanking him. Oh…and we really like that hand stamp!
