Happy Givethanksing – Library Update
First things first. Allow me to wish you all a wonderful Thanksgiving and to tell you how much I appreciate your continued support of my music. It inspires me all year long, not just at this time of thanks. I hope you, your family and friends are well and doing well. Go ahead. Have an extra piece of pumpkin pie. You deserve it…
There are BIG changes coming up very soon with the libraries. Since that’s the place where most of you can come and sing along, I want to let you know what’s going on.
As I’m sure you know by now, Belle Cooledge Library is tearing up the floor in the community room. So there will be no music time for the whole month of December. And when we all return in 2014, I’ll be switching days to Wednesdays. The first music time in the new year will be Wednesday, January 8, at 4:00 pm. Please mark your (new) calendars now. How can you miss me if I don’t go away?
Everyone is now personally invited to come to the Colonial Heights Library on Thursdays (Dec. 5, 12, 19) at 9:45 am until 10:15 am. We’ll be able to sing Christmas songs and anything else you want. My favorite part of the holiday season is the music and there’s only one way to see what’s going to happen. Show up with your (jingle) bells on. OK? OK!
Please don’t forget to remember that I’ll be playing on New Year’s Eve at the Pocket – Greenhaven Library. This is going to be a special show, starting at 11:00 am. I’ve gotten the OK to sing a little longer and I’m going to bring a couple of different instruments to play. Who knows who will show up. I sure hope you do. Please come and help me ring in the new year with lots of songs and fun.
Now, on a sad note, I will no longer be singing at the Fair Oaks Library after the last show on Tuesday, December 3, at 6:30 pm. I will never forget the fun we had during the summer of 2012. But, change happens. I hope you can pack up the whole family and come out one more time. I’ll see you there and we’ll let the music play.
Happy Givethanksing to one and all. As the song says, thank you for everything…
