End of Summer
We’re now at the end of August, summer is almost over, school is right around the corner, but there are still some exciting events coming up that will make the transition to fall a little more fun. I want to take this opportunity to send you a friendly reminder about two BIG concerts coming up soon. They’re going to be fantastic but it wouldn’t be the same if you weren’t there.
This Sunday, August 26, is the last “Music In The Park” concert at beautiful Curtis Park. What makes this one special is that the concert at the end of the day is combining with “Curtisfest” to make one huge helping of fabulous fun. “Curtisfest” starts at 10:00 am and will feature dozens of artists and artisans, live music, lots of food from local vendors, and activities especially for kids, including a petting zoo. But wait, there’s more. Starting at 6:00 pm, I will be playing Mister Cooper songs on the main stage. Then the band On Air will keep the tunes coming. I will be playing a second set about an hour later and then more On Air to close out the night. The weather is going to be perfect, so you better be there.
On Saturday, September 1, there’s going to be a “Back to School Extravaganza” at Funderland Amusement Park. The festivities start at 10:00 am and go all the way until 6:00 pm. Besides all of the awesome rides, there will be special games, crafts, and prizes. I will be providing the music throughout the day. Sets will begin at 12:00 noon, 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm. Funderland has been making an effort to present more fun events like this one and I’m happy to be participating. Thanks for the invitation, Ashley.
And speaking of friendly reminders, I’ll be singing at two libraries on Tuesday, August 28. At 11:00 am, I’ll be at the Pocket-Greenhaven Library. And starting at 4:00 pm, the music continues at the Belle Cooledge Library. It’s all good.
I hope you all are having a great summer vacation. Please come out to a show, say hello, and then off we go for another school year. Thank you, as always, for singing along…
